Mostly shoulders and neck pains (coming from working on computer most of the day). Occasionally back pains

3. The number of weeks, months or years you had these problems:
For five years

4. The number of doctors seen and the type of drugs taken (if any) for these problems:
I didn’t see doctors nor take drugs for these problems. I saw massage therapists to relieve the muscles, though.

5. The extent to which your normal life was interrupted due to these health problems:
I had pains on the shoulders, neck and wrists all day long, and it interfered in my mundane activities. Often, I couldn’t even move my neck into one way for several days.

6. The length of treatment in visits or time before the results of chiropractic care became apparent:
I started to feel the effects of the treatment in a month, and since then, I barely felt pains on the shoulders, neck or wrists.

7. Your impression of the general health benefits of chiropractic care and specifically, how it helped you.
I definitely feel that the treatment has improved my health drastically. Not only do I not feel pains, but also I feel good and better overall.

Some of my friends in the same profession struggle with similar problems. I have been recommending them to get chiropractic treatments.

Surprisingly, a headache is not a “brainache.” The brain, most of its membranes and the skull feel no pain at all. That is why during brain surgery patients can be wide awake, even talking to the doctors while their brains are being cut, probed or otherwise tampered with (local anesthetic is used to numb the scalp). But when the pain-sensitive parts—the arteries of the brain and skull, the dura mater that covers the brain and the cranial nerves—are infected, pulled, inflamed, stretched, compressed or irritated, headaches usually result.

Chiropractic & Headaches: The Drug free and natural way of healing headaches

For over a hundred years headache sufferers have benefited from the drug-free, natural methods used by their neighborhood chiropractors. By eliminating spinal subluxations, chiropractic permits the entire body to restore itself to a greater level of health and wholeness—in effect, to heal itself. Chiropractic spinal care is essential for anyone who suffers from headaches (Vernon, 1998) (Knutson, 2003) (Aprill et al., 2002) (Tuchin et al., 2000)

October 18, 2011

2. The problems, symptoms or ailments you were troubled with prior to chiropractic care:

Problems originating from “L4 + L5” in the lower back, radiating in the groin and resulting in excruciating pain causing the mere act of walking to be horrible and sometimes impossible.

3. The number of weeks, months or years you had these problems:

Since August 2011

4. The number of doctors seen and the type of drugs taken (if any) for these problems:

No drugs because the pain was so acute I knew I would become addicted. I had seen chiropractors in the past, for maintenance and knew this would be the answer to my problem.

5. The extent to which your normal life was interrupted due to these health problems:

Fortunately I am retired so I could devote my entire life nursing my ailment and I was considering a future in a wheelchair.

6. The length of treatment in visits or time before the results of chiropractic care became apparent:

At the end of three weeks, I started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and more than only solving the current problem, it also improved my gait that had always been suffering from a slight limp.

7. Your impression of the general health benefits of chiropractic care and specifically, how it helped you.

I used to feel like Atlas: Bearing the weight of the world on my shoulders; now I am a senior citizen who runs after buses.
